ANTI-HAIL NETS

Anti-hail nets are designed to protect crops from damage caused by hail. These nets are made from strong, thick, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tapes with UV stabilizers, ensuring durability and long service life for several years.

This heavy-duty netting does not slip, offering high tensile strength and stability.

The anti-hail net features small mesh openings (2.8 × 8 mm), which also provide protection for berries from birds, wasps, and other insects, while allowing light, moisture, and air to pass through freely.

In addition to its mechanical strength and resistance to impact, the polyethylene anti-hail net is also resistant to bacteria, mold, fungi, chemicals, and ultraviolet radiation.

When installed at an angle, hailstones roll off the net and fall harmlessly to the ground through openings below, preventing damage to fruits and crops.

Advantages of Anti-Hail Nets

  • UV-resistant and long-lasting.

  • Protects crops and flowers from hail damage.

  • Helps maintain a balanced microclimate in orchards.

  • Preserves stable humidity levels.

  • Provides protection from certain insects, pests, and birds.

  • Durable, flexible, and easy to install.

  • Can withstand hail the size of a chicken egg and wind speeds up to 30 km/h.

Recommendations for Installation and Use of Anti-Hail Net

► The net should be stretched over special galvanized steel frame structures above orchards or vineyards and secured with twine, wire, or special clips.

► The anti-hail net can also be used to cover the side surfaces of the protected area, reducing bird and insect attacks on the plantation.

► During the winter season, to prevent damage, the protective net should either be completely removed or rolled into sleeves and fixed above the supporting structures.

► When cutting the anti-hail net, use scissors or a knife.

► If any damage occurs, holes can be tied with polymer thread.

► The anti-hail net should be stored in a dry, unheated room.
