The car carrier ratchet strap is a two-part tie-down strap equipped with an additional third hook and special anti-friction pads. The process of securing a vehicle with a car carrier strap involves looping the strap around the wheel and tightening it against the surface of the loading platform. The plastic pads are positioned so that the side with protrusions rests on the tire tread, preventing the strap from slipping off the wheel. The additional hook serves as an extra attachment point, allowing the wheel to be securely wrapped and the ratchet positioned in a convenient operating location.

This strap consists of a heavy-duty webbing and additional fittings. The car transport securing strap is equipped with three double J-hooks. One hook is attached to the short end of the strap, while two are on the long end — one fixed and one sliding along the webbing. The sliding hook allows the same strap to be used for wheels of different sizes (diameters), as long as the strap length is sufficient to wrap around the wheel.
A key feature of this strap is the presence of three double J-hooks, which allows attachment to platforms with oval or elongated slots and ensures a tighter fit around the wheel due to the sliding hook. The strap includes three plastic protectors (often called “bones”), which are positioned around the wheel in three different spots to help the strap maintain its correct position throughout vehicle transport.
Only the highest-quality components are used in manufacturing this strap. It is produced in accordance with EN 12195-2 standards. The webbing used in car carrier straps has enhanced strength (1.5–2 times stronger than standard straps of the same width), with elongation not exceeding 4%, meeting the latest EU safety requirements.
