Single-sided Formwork – Adjustable Counterfort System

The Variant modular counterfort frame system is designed for the construction of single-sided walls, such as retaining walls, dam walls, and similar structures.
The shear forces generated by the pressure of freshly poured concrete and acting on the formwork panels are absorbed and transferred to the foundation by the modular counterfort frames and diagonal anchors.
This single-sided support system enables the construction of walls with a pouring height of up to 8 m.

Load-bearing capacity

Thanks to the variability of its load-bearing capacity, the single-sided modular support system can be assembled and configured to withstand different levels of pressure from freshly poured concrete, up to 50 kN/m².

Operational flexibility

• Adjustable height for different project requirements;

• Compatible with other Variant wall systems, such as Varimax frame formwork and Vertex 60 large-area formwork;

• Easily reconfigurable to accommodate uneven ground surfaces at the installation site;
