Metal guardrail post
A metal guardrail post is designed for permanent installation on the concrete slabs of residential, industrial, or public buildings under construction.
The guardrail bracket serves as a safety barrier that prevents accidental access to edges and height drops.
These posts are significantly more reliable than other types of barriers and have a longer service life, ensuring enhanced safety and durability on construction sites.
DESIGN AND FEATURES OF THE GUARDRAIL POST
The floor edge guardrail post is a welded metal structure made of rectangular tubes, equal-angle steel, sheet metal, and a screw pair that secures the guard post to the floor slab.
For edge protection elements, wooden boards up to 40 mm thick (lumber of at least grade 2) are recommended.
The design ensures the required strength and rigidity under a horizontal test load of 0.54 kN, in accordance with SNiP 2.01.07-85 “Loads and Impacts.”
The steel guardrail system is the most widely used solution for height edge protection.
Protective guardrail — prevents accidental access to hazardous height drops and protects workers from exposure to industrial hazards.
Safety guardrail — provides perimeter protection for workplaces at height, preventing falls of personnel.
Together, these systems ensure compliance with safety regulations and long-term durability during construction operations.
