DEBRIS SAFETY NETS (DSN) are safety systems representing horizontal fall-arrest devices designed to catch a person or falling objects weighing up to 100 kg from a height of up to 6–7 meters. They also protect workers operating below the net from falling debris.
The use of DSNs around a building starting from the third floor and higher complies with the requirements of:
SNiP 12-03-99 “Occupational Safety in Construction”
SNiP III-4-80 “Safety in Construction”
SNiP 3.03.01-87 “Load-Bearing and Enclosing Structures”
The production of debris safety nets is carried out in accordance with the European safety standard EN 1263-1.
DESIGN OF THE DEBRIS SAFETY NET SYSTEM
The installation of debris safety nets must be carried out in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations by individuals aged 18 or older who have professional experience as installers. They must be trained in safe work methods and practices according to GOST 12.0.004-90 “SSBT. Organization of Occupational Safety Training. General Provisions”, have passed qualification exams, and obtained the appropriate certification.

Anchor bolts firmly secure the support to the concrete surface, to which the bracket, tension rope, mounting rope, and debris-catching net are attached. Brackets are installed at a spacing of 1.5–2.0 meters.
The tension rope ensures the designed tilt angle of the brackets, with its length adjusted on-site. A carabiner attached to the bracket provides safety during installation and dismantling. The mounting cord ensures a reliable connection between two nets.
The main safety element of the structure is the catching net, installed 1–3 floors below the working level around the perimeter of the building, with height intervals of up to 10 meters.
The system provides a safety zone of up to 3.5 meters around the building, is easy to install, and ensures high reliability.
