TOP-RUNNING OVERHEAD CRANE
A single-girder top-running overhead crane is a type of lifting device, essentially a bridge crane with a lower lifting capacity.
The maximum lifting capacity of the manufactured cranes reaches 16 tons, with a span length of up to 34.5 meters.
The crane can be equipped with either manual or electric travel drives.
If required, it can be fitted with reliable imported electromechanical components.
This equipment is suitable for indoor and outdoor operation, including under canopies, within an ambient temperature range of –20°C to +40°C (down to –40°C upon request).
The design of the top-running crane ensures greater stability and higher lifting height compared to underslung models.
Used for lifting and moving various loads weighing up to 10 tons.
The crane consists of:
A main girder (usually made from an I-beam)
Two end carriages equipped with motor-gear units for movement
Power is supplied by electric cable by default, though alternative systems are available.
The crane is operated via a wired control pendant with an emergency stop button, with optional radio control or operator cabin for increased comfort and safety.
The lifting mechanism is an electric hoist (trolley) that travels along the crane’s girder.
The hook suspension attached to a wire rope serves as the load-handling device.
The top-running crane is installed on rails mounted above the runway beams, ensuring maximum reliability and stability.
For enhanced safety and convenience, additional optional equipment can be installed.

Bill of lading
• The end carriage design allows for easy wheel removal and replacement without dismantling the entire crane — only by lifting part of the end carriage and rolling the wheel forward.
• All wheel assemblies are filled with long-lasting grease, requiring no additional lubrication before initial operation.
• All crane girders are engineered to ensure that elastic deflection does not exceed the limits set by regulatory standards.
• Crane girders are also designed to completely eliminate the risk of deformation under load.
• The connection between the main girder and end carriages is bolted only, with no welding applied.
Only European components are used:
Hoists manufactured in Bulgaria or Germany
Motor gear units manufactured in Italy
• End carriages are equipped with anti-derailment devices to prevent the crane from coming off the rails or tracks.
