Ratchet Strap – Endless Type with Spring Buckle

Tie-down straps are used for securing loads during transportation by road vehicles.

The main components of the strap are:

  • a durable polyester webbing, 28 mm wide, with a breaking strength of 400 kgf, and

  • a tensioning mechanism – a spring buckle.

Description

The endless tie-down strap with buckle (loop strap with spring lock) is a variation of the cargo tie-down strap in ring form.
It is designed for securing lightweight or medium-weight cargo.

In freight transport, there is a category of goods weighing from 30 kg to 1,000 kg — items that can be handled manually and are not considered “heavy-duty” loads.
For this category, ease of use is more important than extremely high tensile strength, making loop straps with spring buckles the optimal solution.

These hookless tie-down straps with self-locking clamps allow for quick securing and releasing of cargo within seconds.
The maximum load capacity depends on the width of the polyester webbing, which typically ranges from 25 mm to 50 mm — sufficient for securing loads up to 1 ton.

Applications

  • Securing beehives during transport

  • Fixing cargo inside vans

  • Fastening goods on light trailers

  • Attaching items to carts, sleds, or roof racks on vehicles

Advantages of Tie-Down Straps with Spring Buckles

  • Minimal elongation (up to 4%)

  • Repairable design – the webbing or buckle can be replaced separately

  • Lightweight and compact

  • Easy to use

  • Quick fastening and release

  • Adjustable length via the locking mechanism

Usage Recommendations

The spring-buckle strap has a simple and reliable design.
One end of the polyester strap is sewn to the spring buckle.
To use it:

  1. Press the lever element of the buckle.

  2. Insert the free end of the strap through the buckle.

  3. Adjust to the desired length and release the lever.

The spring mechanism clamps the strap between two textured surfaces, preventing slippage and ensuring firm fixation.
Once the cargo is in place, the strap is tightened and securely locked.

Although this design is not intended for heavy-duty loads, it is ideal for household and light transport use, providing speed, convenience, and sufficient holding strength for small and medium cargo.
